Ambient Quake

Ambient Quake is a two-in-one concept which combines the most important features of portable and stationary speakers in one product. The idea is to develop a speaker which is mobile enough to enable the user to listen to their favourite music outdoors, while maintaining the sound quality of a stationary speaker for home use.
The design consists of two components: A large speaker which acts as a docking station and
a small portable speaker. When the portable speaker is placed on the stationary speaker, a connection will be set up automatically. Then the portable speaker is charged wirelessly and acts as the user interface to control the combined speaker.
The bass reflex system on top of the portable speaker consists of a membrane and a chrome plate which
vibrate to the music, to add a visual effect.
