There are many efforts to reduce the ecological footprint of products. Mostly it is done by the means of design changes by using biodegradable parts and recycling. Contrary to current trends for sustainability and increasing user demand, sales show different shoppers' behaviours. This paradox can't be solved through product changes only.

This master's thesis, in cooperation with PHILIPS, deals with the development of a subscription service for PHILIPS products within a circular economy. PHILIPS MOVE brings substantial user benefits, an increase in revenue, and the repurpose of products and materials.
