The "Comfort Bell" from SOCIALISE is a video doorbell for houses with several residents. It helps encouraging social interaction between people and acts like an assistant by letting visitors know when the resident is away and gives the opportunity to leave each other messages. This allows the resident to monitor from afar the situation in front of their house and getting a notification as soon as something happens.

Each resident has access to the live recording or past recordings via an app and can make various settings, such as a personalized "answering machine“.
The simple design of the bell blends into most front door environments, but still draws attention so a visitor knows where to ring the bell. The element: "rounded rectangles" can be found throughout the design. Starting with the outer shape, through the camera and buttons to the speaker openings.

At the top is a camera module with wide-angle recording and night vision. Thanks to the light frame on the module, the bell can also be used in the dark.
In the lower areas are the bell buttons with the names of the residents, which curve slightly inwards. The upper shell gets removed for assembly and charging.
