Loneliness, boredom, lack of motivation - these feelings affect one age group in particular: senior citizens. In this age group, social contacts tend to decrease, and physical limitations often make leisure activities a challenge. One activity that activates many people emotionally at a younger age and also brings them into social contact could provide a remedy here in the future: singing.

"birdie" is a product that enables senior citizens to sing along in the middle of a choir - without having to leave their own four walls. To control this virtual reality experience, the song cards belonging to the system are inserted into the "birdie" console - thus easily compiling a playlist. Up to six people can participate in a singing session online. In this way, grandparents and grandchildren can spend time together despite distance and feel social closeness instead.

The design uses a rectangle as its basic body, which is shaped by a combination of hard and soft edges.
