Weckord is inspired by a mixtape and is a short version of it. Like a mixtape, you share a collection of music out of friendship, love and connection for shared musical interest and especially for communicating emotions to create a mood or convey a message.

Weckord consists of two parts: an audio recording part for someone on the go, who can make short recordings at any time, and an alarm clock part for a second person on the bedside table, which plays the first person's recordings as a wake-up sound.

Target group: two people in an existing relationship who can feel connected even at a distance.

Just like the functions, the shape is reduced to a minimum: a square, circle and line, which are only visible during use. Both devices are operated by pulling on the textile strap: by pulling on the textile strap of the recording device, the textile-covered surface pulls inwards in a circle and "absorbs" the sounds. Pulling on the textile strap of the alarm clock pushes the pointer out of the textile of the output device and the alarm clock is switched on. So you can wake up every morning to a different unique sound and be surprised anew every morning.
